The Department of Business and Professional Regulation

The professions related to the educational programs offered by the institution are licensed and regulated by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) in the State of Florida. The Department has its own set of rules that professionals must follow and is responsible for setting licensing requirements in the State of Florida. In particular, the Barbers’ Board is responsible for licensing and regulating barbers and the Board of Cosmetology is responsible for licensing and regulating cosmetology professions as a whole.
